Th e exit to my office was blocked from red light traffic . The first guy moves up a bit so I can get out. M s ML (not to be confused with Ms Mercedes) looks at me and guns it to close the gap . What ever your a bitch s o i move up a bit to get ready as the next truck looks like he’s not going to be a dick and will let me go . MsML think s I’m going to cut her off and moves forward. Now amu sed, I move forward a little more .   She freaks goes gas brake gas brake until she makes contact with the person in fron t. The light turns green she puts it in reverse and guns it backwards almost taking out the truck behind her . Throws it i n drive and charges at my car, slams on the brakes a couple feet fom m door and starts yelling out the window. I gun it and take off. All this over a ‘spot' in line but even more I was going to head opposite from her so I wouldn't have even of taken that spot.

Se barely touched. Looked like it was just her licence pl ate bracket. When I left she was in the parking lot. I dunno if she was trying to follow me or was stopping .

You never know, man, people are nuts.

Yesterday I was coming back to NH from visiting friends in NYC. I’m on the Merritt near New Haven, and following a nice Jag (something... R?) Anyway. I’m leaving this guy decent space, like way more than anyone else is leaving in the passing lane. At the same time, I was keeping up with the Jag because I like being behind nice cars that are nice to look at, and also low cars I can see past, so I can see when cars in front of that are braking.

A little sedan comes between us, and I did absolutely nothing. There was TONS of room. I didn’t change my speed, didn’t flash lights, didn’t do ANYTHING except say to my wife, “hey that little car’s blocking my view of the Jag” and that’s it. Eventually, the guy moved back over after passing a slow car. As we go to pass him, he sticks his hand out his open window and flips me off, then waves me past with his middle finger. My wife is like, “is that guy flipping US off? WHY?”

I mean, I didn’t come within 200 FEET of him. It was so weird. You just never know what’s going on in the minds of other drivers, I guess.

This doesn’t have much to do with your story, but give it a second. Was driving home from work the other day, going straight south. Left turn arrow turns green and the person in front is oblivious. Guy next to me beeps. But he’s five cars back, and it’s not a quick beep, nor is it a soft wimpy beep, and my window is open so I flip him the bird as I drive off. And I kn ow I overreacted mostly because it scared the ever living shit out of me, but it really wasn’t deserving of a middle finger and now  I feel sort of bad about it because in reality my excuse wasn’t any better than the guy who was mad at you.

haha, true. I just can’t for the life of me figure out what this guy was mad for. He didn’t signal, just merged over into the left lane (where I was), then merged back. Looking at traffic around us, there was 3x as much space between us and him as any other two cars around, at least in the left lane. But who knows? Maybe he thought I flashed him if we went over a bump just so?
